Who is Louisville Chapter?
The Louisville Chapter-IAAP was chartered in 1951, and its members include more than 90 administrative professionals who live and work in the Kentuckiana area. Meetings are monthly (September through June) and offer an educational program and the chapter business.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. with an educational program at 6:00 p.m., and the business meeting shortly following the program.

Chapter Profile
The Louisville Chapter was chartered in 1951. The chapter offers education opportunities with Continuing Education Units and recertification points awarded at monthly meetings.

Accomplishments of the Louisville Chapter include:

  • Hosted the 1985 International Convention.
  • Welcomed the 1998 Southeast District Conference to Louisville.
  • Established a scholarship committee in 1984 that has grown from offering two $400 scholarships to two $500 scholarships.
  • In 1995, the chapter won a consolation prize in the competition for the Avery Dennison Chapter Achievement Award. The prize was $230 of Avery products.
  • In 1996 the chapter was awarded a consolation prize of brickpaver engraved for our entry in the Avery Dennison Chapter Achievement Award.
  • 1998 saw the start of the Chapter's involvement with Kentucky Higher Education to review a certification test that was to be given to Kentucky high school students. This has been incorporated into a Kentucky Division committee, chaired by chapter member Gail King, CPS. This test is now being given throughout the state.
  • The Louisville Chapter won grand prize for the 2003 Avery Great Results Chapter Achievement Award. The award is given to chapters that best demonstrate excellence. The chapter received a cash prize of $3,000 for this award.
